When someone visits this website we record a small amount of anonymous information: the page viewed, the website that referred the visit (if any), and an approximate city and region derived from the network connection. This tells us when the site is being used so we can respond quickly to people who are trying to reach us.
What we do not do: we set no cookies on the public site, we do not build advertising profiles, we do not track visitors across other websites, and we do not store your IP address or browser details. If your browser sends a “Do Not Track” or Global Privacy Control signal, the visit is not logged at all. The log is a short rolling window that overwrites itself; it is not an archive.
If you complete the intake form, you choose what to tell us — typically your contact details, the type of matter, information about the subject of the investigation, and your objective. We use it solely to evaluate whether we can help and to contact you about it.
What you enter is stored in our own case system, on infrastructure we control. It is reachable only by named members of our staff who sign in with their own account, and investigators can see only the cases assigned to them.
We also send ourselves an email alert so we know an enquiry has arrived. That alert travels through a third-party delivery service, so it deliberately contains only your case number, your name and how to reach you — never the subject of the investigation, what you are trying to establish, or your signature. Those never leave our own systems. We keep intake information only as long as needed for the matter and our record-keeping obligations.
Please do not send anything you would not want in an email. If a matter is especially sensitive, call us at (434) 907-0975 and we will take the details by phone instead.
We treat client information as confidential and disclose it only as needed to perform the investigation you have engaged us for, to the client or their attorney, or where we are required to do so by law, court order, or the rules governing licensed private investigators in Virginia. We are licensed and regulated by the Virginia Department of Criminal Justice Services (DCJS #11-9159).
You can ask us what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email or call and we will respond promptly. Because we set no cookies for visitors and store no advertising identifiers, there is nothing to opt out of for browsing this site.
This website is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from children through this site.
